A-PAD Provincial Platform Supports Back to School Safety

Jul 3, 2020

A-PAD International strengthened A-PAD Sri Lanka’s ongoing support to the  Eastern Province by assisting the education sector which received the license to re-open schools from 6th July 2020.

In support of containing the coronavirus outbreak in the east, A-PAD Sri Lanka Eastern Platform  provided knapsack power sprayer machines to the Government  to be used for the disinfection of school premises before students  begin to arrive after a stay at home period of nearly 4 months. In addition to this, A-PAD also provided the sprayer machines with a motored pump for better efficiency.

Ensuring safety for children is of special priority and A-PAD felt the need to contribute towards this task by taking steps to secure school environments during the present post-lockdown period.

The initiative was made possible with the generous backing of A-PAD International and the equipment were successfully handed over to Mr. M.H.M Kani, Divisional Secretary of Kinniya who in turn, handed them over to Mrs. Z.M.M. Naleem, Zonal Director of Education Kinniya.
