As the frequency of disaster have been increasing, it is essential for communities and business entities to be prepared for disasters and crisis. According to the Post Disaster Needs Assessment in 2016, 90% of the private sector was affected, while in 2017, 80% of the private sector has been affected following floods and landslides. However, many organisations are yet to invest in prevention and preparedness.

Since its inception in 2014, A-PAD has been involved in educating communities on disaster risks, increasing safety and resilience through business continuity interventions, informal education, participatory learning and DRR training programmes.
