Read MoreThe Education sector of Sri Lanka was challenged at the hands of COVID-19 and distance learning due to the slow progress of internet penetration and the lack of access to digital education in the interior parts of the country. Students were seen compromising on schooling activities due to pandemic lockdowns, economic hardships and hygiene related issues. National level examinations were further postponed indefinitely but would later be held under revised health guidelines. As a priority, A-PAD forged several partnerships with the private sector and international corporations to provide school children with traditional learning material and past paper packs as remedies to continue education.
