Forging Futures: A-PAD at AVPN Global Conference 2024
The AVPN Global Conference 2024, held in partnership with Abu Dhabi under the theme “One Asia, One Future,” recently took place in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The conference, graciously supported by His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council, Abu Dhabi, was hosted on the vibrant Saadiyat Island. With delegates from 44 markets, it solidified its position as Asia’s premier social investment network. From April 23rd to 25th, the event became a dynamic catalyst for collaboration, innovation, and collective action.
A-PAD, as a catalyst member of AVPN, was actively present at the conference in Abu Dhabi. Mr. Firzan Hashim, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of A-PAD, and Ms. Neki Kaori, Director and Head of the Management Office in Japan, represented the organization. Being part of AVPN’s unique membership, A-PAD seized the opportunity to share its resilient and sustainable practices, particularly in climate action strategies, while fostering impactful partnerships. The conference provided a valuable platform for A-PAD to engage in and promote impact-oriented collaborations.

Notable discussions took place with organizations such as Emirates Nature – WWF, WINGS Philippines, Global Steering Group for Impact Investment UK, Climate Action Trust (Howden Insurance) UK, Global Innovation Fund UK, Fish Family Foundation USA/Tokyo, Japan, Charities Aid Foundation of America, Give2Asia USA, Myriad USA, Pijar Foundation Indonesia, Temasek Foundation Singapore, Asia Investor Group on Climate Change (AIGCC), Shibusawa & Company Japan, Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Japan, Good Neighbors, Global Impact Foundation South Korea, and GlobalGiving China. These engagements further enriched A-PAD SL’s network and potential for impactful collaborations on a global scale.
