A-PAD SL International Symposium 2025 Report and Recommendations

The A-PAD International Symposium 2025, held under the theme “Strengthening Collaboration in an Era of Escalating Crises,” brought together government leaders, humanitarian partners, private sector representatives, and international experts to advance disaster preparedness and resilience in Sri Lanka and across the Asia-Pacific region. The discussions highlighted the urgent need to shift from reactive response toward anticipatory, collaborative, and risk-informed action—an approach made even more relevant following the impacts of Cyclone Ditwah shortly after the symposium.
