🌊 எவரும் நீரில் மூழ்கும் நிலை வரலாம். நாம் அனைவரையும் காப்போம். 🌊

நீரில் மூழ்குவது கடந்த தசாப்தத்தில் 2.5 மில்லியன் மக்களைக் கொன்ற ஒரு பெருவாரியாகப் பரவும் அபாயம் ஆகும். இது குறிப்பாக குழந்தைகள் மற்றும் இளைஞர்களிடையே மரணத்திற்கு ஒரு முக்கிய காரணமாகும்.

நீரில் மூழ்குவதை தவிர்த்தல் குறித்த சர்வதேச தினத்தில் இன்று நாம் விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்துவதை நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளோம். நீரில் மூழ்குவது சில நொடிகளில் நிகழலாம். நீச்சல் குளங்கள் மற்றும் குளியல் தொட்டிகள் முதல் ஏரிகள், ஆறுகள் மற்றும் பெருங்கடல்கள் வரை எந்த நீர்நிலையிலும் இது நிகழலாம்,
நீர் வளங்களை சுற்றி பாதுகாப்பாக இருக்க சில முக்கியமான குறிப்புகள்:
1. அடிப்படை நீர் பாதுகாப்பு திறன்களைக் கற்றுக்கொள்ளுங்கள்: நீந்துவது மற்றும் மிதப்பது எப்படி என்பதை அறிவது உங்கள் உயிரைக் காப்பாற்றும்
2. குழந்தைகளை நெருக்கமாக கண்காணிக்கவும்: முக்கியமாக தண்ணீருக்கு அருகில் இருக்கும் குழந்தைகளை எப்போதும் கண்காணிக்கவும்.
3. உயிர் காப்புறைகளை பயன்படுத்தவும்: நீர் விளையாட்டுகளில் ஈடுபடும் அனைவரும் உரிய உயிர் காப்புறைகள் அணிய வேண்டும்.
4. துரித நீரில் கவனமாக இருங்கள்: துரித நீரோட்டங்கள் ஆபத்தானவை. ஆகையால் தகவலறிந்து இருங்கள் மற்றும் ஆபத்தான பகுதிகளைத் தவிர்க்கவும்.
5. தண்ணீருக்கு அருகில் மது அருந்த வேண்டாம்: தண்ணீரைச் சுற்றி குழந்தைகளைக் கண்காணிக்கும் போது மது அருந்துவதைத் தவிர்க்கவும்.

நீரில் மூழ்குவது தடுக்கக்கூடியது! விழிப்புணர்வு முக்கியம்! விழிப்புணர்வை பரப்பி, நீரில் மூழ்குவதைத் தடுக்க நடவடிக்கை எடுப்போம். நாம் ஒன்றிணைந்து ஒரு மாற்றத்தை உருவாக்க முடியும்!

🌊ඕනෑම අයෙක් දියෙහි ගිලීමට හැක, නමුත් එයට ඉඩ දිය නොහැක!🌊

දියේ ගිලීම නිහඬ මාරයෙකු වන අතර පසුගිය දශකය තුළ මිලියන 2.5 ක ජනතාවක් දියෙහි ගිලීමෙන් ජීවිතක්ෂයට පත්වී ඇත. එය විශේෂයෙන්ම ළමා සහ යෞවන මරණයන් සඳහා ප්‍රධාන හේතුවකි.

දියේ ගිලීම වැළැක්වීමේ දිනය වන අද, මෙම වළක්වා ගත හැකි ඛේදවාචකය පිළිබඳව ප්‍රජාව දැනුවත් කිරීම අපගේ අරමුණයි. දියේ ගිලීම තත්පර කිහිපයක් තුළ සිදු විය හැකි අතර බොහෝ විට එය නිහඬව සිදු වේ. වින්දිතයාට උපකාර ඉල්ලා සිටීමට නොහැකි වේ. පිහිනුම් තටාකවල සහ නාන තටාකවල සිට විල්, ගංගා සහ සාගර දක්වා ඕනෑම ජල ප්‍රභවයකදී දියෙහි ගිලීම සිදුවිය හැකිය.

ජලය අවට ආරක්ෂිතව සිටීමට අවශ්‍ය වැදගත් උපදෙස් කිහිපයක් පහත දැක්වේ:
1. මූලික ජල ආරක්ෂණ කුසලතා දැන සිටීම; පිහිනීම සහ පාවෙන ආකාරය දැන ගැනීමෙන් ඔබේ ජීවිතය බේරා ගත හැකිය.
2. දරුවන් සමීපව අධීක්ෂණය කරන්න: සෑම විටම ජලය අසල සිටින දරුවන් පිළිබඳව විමසිල්ලෙන් සිටින්න.
3. ජීවිතාරක්ෂක කබා භාවිතා කරන්න: ජල ක්‍රියාකාරකම් වලදී සෑම කෙනෙකුම සුදුසු ජීවිතාරක්ෂක ජැකට් පැළඳ සිටින බවට සහතික වන්න.
4. වේගවත් ජලයේදී ප්‍රවේශම් වන්න: වේගවත් ජල ධාරා අනතුරුදායක විය හැක. දැනුවත්ව සිටීමෙන් සහ අවදානම් ප්‍රදේශ මගහැරීමෙන් අනතුරු වළක්වා ගත හැක.
5. ජලය ආශ්‍රිත ක්‍රියාකරකම් වලදී මත්පැන් භාවිතයෙන් වැළකී සිටින්න. එමෙන්ම ජලය අවටක්‍රියාකරකම් වල දරුවන් යෙදී සිටියදී ඔවුන් නිරීක්ෂණ‍යේ නියුතු ඔබ මැත්පන් භාවිතයෙන් වළකින්න.

දියෙහි ගිලීමෙන් සිදුවන අනතුරු වළක්වාගත හැකි අතර, දැනුවත්ව සිටීම එ සඳහා යතුර වේ!
දියේ ගිලීම වැළැක්වීම සඳහා දැනුවත්භාවය පතුරවමින් ක්‍රියාකාරී පියවර ගනිමු.

A-PAD Sri Lanka

The Asia Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management Sri Lanka held its annual international symposium under the theme "Turning the Tide: 20 Years of Tsunami Readiness and Resilience" to commemorate two decades since the tragic 2004 tsunami. This event brought together nearly 200 participants, including diplomats, international organizations, the private and public sectors, NGOs, and the UN.

The symposium provided a platform to reflect on lessons learned, assess current disaster preparedness, and discuss future strategies for enhancing resilience. It also marked the 10-year anniversary of A-PAD Sri Lanka, celebrating a decade of dedicated disaster response and humanitarian efforts.

Ready to Rescue: Strengthening Skills, Saving Lives!

The Asia Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management (A-PAD) Sri Lanka hosted the International Swift Water Search and Rescue (SAR) Level 02 Training for 2024 in Kithulgala from June 25th to 27th. Conducted by A-PAD Japan international instructors, this advanced training enhances the swift water rescue skills of participants from the Tri-forces, civil society, and the private sector. A-PAD ensures that our enhanced SAR team is ready to deploy in times of crisis. Participants mastered essential skills like rope techniques, swimming, and boat handling through rigorous simulations in the challenging waters of the Kelani River. The program not only adheres to international best practices but also strengthens Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) and prepares for effective disaster response. The event concluded with a certificate distribution and award ceremony, highlighting the participants' dedication and the program's impact on enhancing Sri Lanka's disaster response capacity.

In a world where unforeseen disasters can strike at any moment, being equipped with essential skills like firefighting and first aid can make all the difference. Recognizing this imperative, on the 7th of March, 2024, Asia Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management Sri Lanka (A-PAD SL) took a significant step towards community empowerment by providing basic first aid and CPR training to a total of 1,150 students and 82 teachers from three schools in the Eastern Province of Srilanka, namely, BT/BC Rahumaniya Maha Vidyalaya, BT/BC Macan Markar Central College, and BT/BC Alighar Central College.

The International Symposium organized by the Asia Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management in Sri Lanka on the theme “Climate-Smart Collaboration: Accelerating the Transition towards a Climate- Resilient Future” have produced a wealth of insights and recommendations. The symposium brought together experts, leaders, and stakeholders from various sectors to discuss the pressing issues surrounding climate change and disaster risk reduction.

A-PAD Sri Lanka's SAR Refresher Discussion on October 22, 2023, brought together civil and military experts to pave a path toward more effective Search and Rescue (SAR) operations.

With representatives from esteemed organizations, including Capital Maharaja Group , Lion Brewery Ceylon PLC , Sri Lanka Air Force, Sri Lanka Life Saving, & The Pearl Protectors the discussion showcased a commitment to excellence and collaboration within the A-PAD framework.
