A-PAD Holds Courtesy Call with State Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Mr. MIYAJI Takuma
Last month, Director, Head of Management Office, Ms. Kaori Neki, met with the State Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Mr. MIYAJI Takuma. The meeting, held on the 26th of December 2024, underscored the importance of continued collaboration between Japan and A-PAD to strengthen disaster preparedness and response across the Asia-Pacific.
The Minister acknowledged A-PAD’s valuable efforts in fostering disaster prevention across the Asia-Pacific region and expressed his hope that Japan’s initiatives in disaster management would continue to grow and influence neighboring countries.
During the meeting, Ms. Neki highlighted Japan’s role in leveraging its extensive disaster response experience and multi-sector collaborations to enhance emergency aid and improve disaster resilience throughout the region.
Commenting on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ ongoing support for A-PAD, Minister MIYAJI emphasized the desire for continued, close cooperation with the organization in future disaster prevention initiatives.
The meeting marks a significant step toward reinforcing partnerships for regional disaster resilience.
