A-PAD SL Equips University Students with Life-Saving CPR Skills

A-PAD SL conducted an internationally certified CPR training for 25 undergraduates of University of Colombo on October 2nd, 2024, following a previous Disaster Risk Reduction workshop. The comprehensive session covered CPR techniques for adults, children, and infants, situational assessment, and use of AED Defibrillators. The training also emphasized drowning prevention and water safety awareness.

Combining theory and practice, the session concluded with a hands-on exam. Successful participants received internationally recognized licenses and certificates.

A-PAD SL’s initiative targets youth as future leaders, aiming to instill Disaster Risk Reduction principles in the next generation. By equipping students with vital skills for emergencies, disasters, and occupational hazards, A-PAD SL works towards creating a more resilient community. This program reflects their commitment to preparedness and empowering young people with critical knowledge for future leadership in disaster response.
