A-PAD Sri Lanka Supports Flood-Affected Communities in Mutur

Dec 4, 2025

Cyclone Ditwah has caused severe flooding in Mutur, forcing families to take shelter in several schools that are now functioning as safety centers. In response, A-PAD Sri Lanka mobilized its teams to support displaced families sheltering in five major safety centers across Mutur.

With access routes submerged, A-PAD Sri Lanka volunteers used boats to reach these locations and deliver much-needed relief items. Working closely with local authorities A-PAD provided essential relief items to help families remain safe, nourished, and supported during this difficult period.

Despite the challenges brought by Cyclone Ditwah, the collective spirit of the Mutur community remains strong. A-PAD Sri Lanka will continue to stand alongside families, supporting both immediate needs and long-term recovery efforts to rebuild education and resilience.
