Council for Business with Britain Supports A-PAD SL’s Mission in Restoring Safe Water Access After Cyclone Ditwah

Apr 11, 2026

A-PAD SL is proud to partner with the Council for Business with Britain (CBB) to restore safe drinking water access for communities severely affected across Sri Lanka following Cyclone Ditwah.

Funds generously raised at the CBB’s ‘Christmas Carols’ event in December 2025 are being allocated towards the provision of community water filters at schools and community centre points in the Central, Uva, and Sabaragamuwa Provinces – areas where access to clean drinking water remains critically limited in the aftermath of the cyclone. These funds will cover local logistics, ensuring the timely and effective delivery of filters to where they are needed most. This targeted WASH intervention will ensure that some of the most vulnerable communities, including children, have access to safe water during the recovery phase.

A-PAD SL extends its sincere gratitude to the CBB and all who contributed at the Christmas Carols event – your generosity is making a direct and tangible difference to families in need. This collaboration is a testament to A-PAD SL’s strength in forging meaningful partnerships that bridge sectors and geographies. By working alongside networks like the CBB, we are able to mobilise resources swiftly, respond with precision, and deliver impact where it matters most.

At A-PAD SL, we believe that resilient communities are built through collective action – and partnerships like this one are at the heart of everything we do.
