This Children’s Day, A-PAD SL and Private Sector Partners Bring Joy to Grade 5 Students in Balangoda

Oct 8, 2025

In celebration of World Children’s Day on October 1st, 2025, A-PAD Sri Lanka, in collaboration with Seylan Bank and DFCC Bank branches in Balangoda, hosted a special prize giving event for Grade 5 students at Bulathgama Vidyalaya. The event not only acknowledged the academic achievements of the students but also emphasized the importance of inclusivity and equal opportunities for every child.

The highlight of the ceremony was the inclusive approach to recognizing the students. Each of the 21 students, whether they passed the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination or not, was presented with a gift pack and a new savings account book. This initiative highlighted the belief that every child, regardless of their examination results, deserves to be celebrated.

This event highlighted the importance of public-private partnerships in enhancing education and fostering community development. It served as a reminder that supporting children’s education is key to building a brighter future. The collaboration between A-PAD Sri Lanka, Seylan Bank, and DFCC Bank reinforced the power of collective efforts in meeting the educational needs of local children.

By supporting every child, the event demonstrated that education is not just about academic success but about providing every child with the tools to build a better future. This initiative sets a strong foundation for continued community growth and development. Furthermore, it was a testament to A-PAD Sri Lanka’s commitment to ensuring no child is left behind.
