Jul 10, 2019

A-PAD SL in collaboration with Global Ehsan Relief International and the District Disaster Management Centre organized a public sticker campaign in order to create awareness about the uses of the 117 Disaster Management Centre (DMC) Hotline. The campaign was conducted to showcase the 117- Hotline services through which the general public can get notifications about an impending disaster, obtain support or to be rescued in the event of a disaster taking place.

62 Grama Niladaris and Samurdi officers from the Kinniya Divisional Secretariat who were present at the event were provided with a pack of 100 stickers that they could disseminate within their respective GN Division in order to spread the word amongst the community about the 117 Hotline. A vehicle campaign was also conducted and stickers were distributed to and pasted on vehicles in the Kinniya town.
