A-PAD Mission to Nepal

With the intention of expanding A-PAD Country Platforms in the Asia Pacific Region, an A-PAD team of officials visited Nepal to seek possibilities of establishing A-PAD Nepal. Discussions were held with the private sector, government, military, volunteers and the aid agency networks. Concept of A-PAD was briefed to potential stakeholders and discussions pertaining to country specific models were deliberated. It was evident that a lacuna existed which A-PAD could support establish a platform for private sector engagement in disaster management. Extensive discussions were held over the three consultations.
