SWM 2022: Weather Update 001

With the onset of the annual Southwest Monsoon (SWM) season beginning in Sri Lanka, the country has been experiencing heavy rainfall over the past few days. Due to a low-level atmospheric disturbance currently persisting in the vicinity of Sri Lanka, the prevailing showery conditions are expected to continue, with showers and thundershowers occurring over most parts of the island.
